Day 10

Howdy all !
Well we blew out of town this morning and headed
west. Yes, I know we had planned to go north through the park and out the north
exit but the wind was blowing west so we took off that way. Really Prilly got
this bug to see these two old western towns so we headed out that way. We must
be living right because we had another gorgeous day, about 65 and
sunny.
First we went to Virginia City then Nevada City and
then up to Lewis and Clark Caverns state park.
Then we stopped for the night in Helena which is the
capital of Montana.
Over looking Ennis Montana.
Here you truly get the feel of what those cowboys
felt riding this range. The open sky and beautiful montains makes you fall in
love with this land. Do you know that as big as this state is there is less than
1 million people in it, and guess what, no sales tax.
Here's Prilly in Virginia City trying to rustle up
some supplys at the general store.
She tried to send a telegram at the Rocky Mountain
Bell Telephone Comp. but the lines were down.
While all this was going on I was hanging out at
the Bale of Hay Saloon.
After a few drinks I was having trouble
finding my dam horse.
Then we mosied down to Nevada City to catch a train
since I couldn't find my horse, but found out that the
next train was May 31.

Tried to get this wagon to go but still couldn't
find my horse to pull it.
So I wandered up the road, whistling for old blue.
That's when I sobered up and found my car and drove off.

These went 300 ft down and had some cool passages
you had to crawl through.
But yes, they look alot like all the others we have
been to,
except for this statue of a good looking blonde.
It was so real I decided to take it home with
me.
Tomorrow heading north to Great Falls and then to
Shelby and heading west to Glacier National Park.
Thanks for all the response. Now up to 1400 miles
and have taken over 600 pictures.
